Internet Kiosk

Internet and Web kiosks provide end users with safe and secure yet instant internet access. Typically, an internet kiosk would be loaded with a secure browser on a locked down operating system to provide maximum security and to ensure that unsuitable content is filtered out.  World Wide Web and internet kiosks can be made available to the general public with open access, or can be made available in a more controlled setting, either by Pay As You Go, or a pre-purchased token system.

Internet kiosk terminals are well suited to events and exhibitions, internet cafes, airports, medical waiting rooms, train stations, hotel bedrooms and hotel lobbies to provide customers and visitors with access to website, email and social media sites.  Web kiosk solutions can be supported by the Sentios secure browser module to provide a safe and secure web browsing environment.

Web kiosks with free or charged internet access and video conferencing kiosks in business suites are an excellent offering to hotel visitors. Internet kiosks are an excellent visitor option at exhibitions so they can look at supplier websites and check email.  Some internet kiosks resemble vending machines and can be un-manned units. These units would usually be made up of rugged kiosk components, and can be combined with outdoor options to protect them from the elements.  For kiosks accessible by the general public, or web access kiosks in any open environment, a secure software solution is an important consideration to protect from malware and maintain kiosk and network security.
